LakeOS ("we," "us," "our") provides a private resident communication and community management platform serving residential communities. This Privacy Policy applies to all communities managed through the LakeOS platform.

4. SMS / Text Messaging Privacy

SMS notifications may include community alerts, guest pass confirmations, safety advisories, community announcements, and account and payment reminders for dues and fees. All messages are transactional and operational in nature.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Information sharing with subcontractors that support service delivery (such as our SMS provider, Twilio) is permitted strictly to deliver the messages you request. All other categories of data exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Residents provide SMS consent by checking an opt-in checkbox on the LakeOS registration form at thelakeos.com. Consent is not required to use the platform and may be withdrawn at any time.

You may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. Reply HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies and is event-driven.

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only: (a) with service providers needed to operate the platform (hosting, SMS delivery, payment processing); (b) with association staff for community administration; or (c) when required by law.

We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access control, and row-level security policies to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong password and notify us of any suspected unauthorized access.

You may access, correct, or delete your account information at any time from your Profile page, or by contacting us at support@thelakeos.com.

8. Children's Privacy

The Lake OS is intended for use by adult residents and their household members. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app and the "Last updated" date above will be revised.
